The iOS Developer works with highly skilled associates and managers to maintain, implement, and analyze technical systems.
Compensation: $68.50/hr
Availability: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm EST. This role is set to start ASAP and run for 6 months (and will most likely be extended).
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design and build applications for the iOS platform.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years relevant software engineering experience, including developing, shipping, and maintaining mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of Swift programming language and iOS SDKs.
- Knowledge and experience in iOS development, plus experience coding in Objective-C or Swift.
- Knowledge and experience working on C++ would be a bonus.
- Problem-solving attitude with a sharp focus on customer delight.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs to fetch and process data in mobile applications.
- Existing products rolled out to the App Store (provide app links or references).
- Knowledge of version control systems, notably Git, for collaborative development.
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with other mobile platforms like Android and cross-platform development frameworks.
- Experience with databases and data persistence in iOS applications.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles to contribute to the app's visual appeal.
- Exposure to continuous integration and deployment processes.
