What's interesting about this role?
We are seeking a SEO specialist to help grow organic search traffic and site authority for GOBankingRates.com. This role will focus on a wide range of SEO efforts, including keyword and title research, internal link optimization, technical improvements, link acquisition, and developing reporting & insights to maximize opportunity and impact. You will assist with running new tests and help report on results. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated history of results, is well-versed across all facets of SEO, and is an all-in team player who is a driven and passionate SEO expert.
How Will You Make an Impact?
- Executing monthly keyword research, competitive analysis, content audits, and other content planning and organizational efforts.
- Assist with building and optimizing the internal linking strategy to maximize rankings.
- Implement on-page optimizations in line with SEO best practices and keyword strategy.
- Support Technical SEO/ Site Health Initiatives.
- Monitor and build reporting for SEO traffic and keyword ranking performance.
- Support Outreach and Link Building tasks to build authoritative links to GOBankingRates.com
- Assist the team with other SEO-related efforts and projects on the roadmap.
- Creating Standard Operating Procedures to document current and new processes.
- Support ad-hoc optimization projects to improve rankings and visibility in SERPs.
- Research innovative SEO practices and stay up-to-date on all things SEO to help the team prepare for upcoming changes to technology and search.
- 2-3 years of prior SEO experience with proven results
- You have a well-rounded background in SEO, including keyword research, on-page optimization, off-site, and technical SEO.
- You have a strong grasp of SEO metrics and tools (SEMrush, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screamingfrog, chatGPT, etc.).
- You are a data-driven decision-maker. You have excellent analytical capabilities and can translate data into action.
- Strong problem-solving, investigative research, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.
- Passionate about SEO and proactive in staying up-to-date on all the latest trends and best practices.
- You are a structured thinker with a strong intuition on priorities & trade-offs. You can generate and rank-order multiple potential solutions.
- Ability to excel both independently and as part of a team.
- Some knowledge of (or interest in learning about) personal finance.
- Experience with Wordpress.
- Experience with basic HTML.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
