About the Role


We are seeking an outstanding Lead Designer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for crafting AI-powered experiences to uplevel customer support organizations around the world. You are fluent with both the visionary thinking and with the craftsmanship required to bring world-class experiences to life. You enjoy collaborating with product managers and engineers to discover the right balance between feasibility, desirability, and viability. You feel an outsized ownership over how your designs perform in the real world, and take initiative to iterate based on customer feedback.


What you’ll be doing


  • Contribute to the product and design direction from incubation through implementation.
  • Develop delightful and practical solutions that align with business goals and user needs.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes to visualize and communicate design concepts.
  • Communicate design ideas and concepts effectively to cross-functional teams.
  • Work closely with product managers and engineering teams to provide production-ready design artifacts.
  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to gather feedback and validate design decisions.
  • Advocate for and implement accessibility best practices to ensure a positive user experience for all users, including those with disabilities.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX design.


Qualifications


  • 7-10 years of UX experience, and at least 5 years in a product company.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing excellent UX and visual design skills with the ability to think through complex interactions.
  • Proven experience driving e2e product design from conception to delivery to iteration.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Expertise with rapid prototyping and usability testing.
  • Knowledge of design methodologies and proven experience translating user needs to design decisions.
  • Proven experience working with Product & Eng as a sole designer or in a very small design team.
  • Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.


Additional Skills (Preferred)


  • Experience applying Generative AI to improve real-world workflows.
  • Familiarity with web and desktop applications, ideally in a B2B context.
  • Startup experience is a plus, with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and establish best practices for a design discipline.
  • Proficiency in using motion design and prototyping tools such as InVision, Principle, or similar platforms.
  • Conducting user research to understand user needs, preferences, and behaviors.
  • A proactive approach to staying updated on the latest UX design trends, tools, and technologies.
