How you will make an impact

As a Frontend Developer in the Marketing team, you will share ownership of the technical projects within the team, currently composed of the company website, marketing design system, and documentation site.

Our tech stack

  • TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS
  • GraphQL
  • HubSpot, Algolia, Storybook
  • Vercel, GitHub

What you will be working on:

  • Marketing Website: Our website (hygraph.com) is built using Next.js, Hygraph, Tailwind CSS, and TypeScript. You will be building new pages, smashing some bugs, and improving the codebase.
  • Marketing Design System: We are currently building our marketing design system. You will help to build new components, design blocks, and make overall improvements. We care about details there and are highly committed to building a pixel-perfect, accessible system to feed our marketing online properties.
  • Stack Implementation: You will be responsible for technical management, and configuration of systems and infrastructure (CRM, Marketing Automation, CDP, and other tools and systems used on the commercial side of the organization). You are an integral part of the marketing team and you contribute to marketing automation, experimentation, personalization, attribution, and analytics efforts.
  • Content Creation: Though not required, you are encouraged to and will be supported in creating content in a wide variety of formats (blog posts, tutorials, guides, live streams, code examples, etc.) that focus on how various modern languages and frameworks empower the developer community in building projects, as well as on how Hygraph enables them to do so.
  • Represent Hygraph: Based on your preferences, and as part of the marketing team, you may be presented with several opportunities to represent Hygraph at events and conferences (both big and small) and take the initiative to widen our reach within specific communities through speaking engagements, sponsorships, and workshops, at several events.

Job requirements

Our expectations from you:
  • You have 3+ years of frontend development experience, with a minimum of 1 year of experience with React and TypeScript.
  • You write clean and testable code, following best practices and design patterns.
  • Mindful about performance and using the right tool for the right job.
  • You have an eye for design. Frontend development is not only about writing code but also implementing a design perfectly and filling the UX holes when necessary.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to take ownership, but also ask for help and advice when needed.
  • Eager to learn and find ways to continuously improve everything we do.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working with a headless CMS (Hygraph would be a plus).
  • You know the basics of database design and have some experience with full-stack development.

The Process

  • Intro call with Talent Acquisition Manager.
  • Competency-based Interview with one of our Engineers and the hiring Manager.
  • Test project and test project de-briefing.
  • Team Fit call and Reference check.
  • Job Offer.

The response time after application, screening applications, and setting up the first intro call is usually within 1-2 weeks. You could expect some alterations when necessary.
