DearDoc is looking for a Junior Recruiter to support our talent acquisition efforts and help build a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. As a Junior Recruiter at DearDoc, you will collaborate with hiring managers, participate in the end-to-end recruitment process, and contribute to the overall success of our recruitment initiatives.


Reporting to the Director of Talent, this new position will be instrumental in helping us reach both our quantitative and qualitative growth goals.


** This is an in-house recruiter role, not an agency.**


Location - New York or Arizona


Salary Range - $50,000/year with bonus, OTE $55,000-$60,000/year

Essential Functions & Responsibilities


  • Conducts preliminary screening video calls with potential candidates to fully understand their needs and develop a strategy moving forward. The spectrum of roles encompasses, yet is not confined to, Sales, IT, Customer Success, Marketing, etc., spanning both the United States and Mexico.
  • Outreach and candidate prospecting via LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Assists in identifying effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Post jobs to necessary job boards in addition to manual recruitment.
  • Disposition of candidates and alignment with proper compliance recruitment processes.
  • Assists managers in scheduling interviews, preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Meaningfully contributing to team meetings, trainings, policies, strategy and culture


Skills & Background


  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Highly preferred: At least one year of Recruiting Coordinator or Recruiter experience.
  • Familiarity with recruitment tools and Applicant Tracking Systems is preferred.
  • Preferred experience in hiring for various positions, including Sales, IT, Operations, and Marketing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Diligent in handling recruiting-related administrative tasks.
  • Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks as per evolving hiring needs.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and adept negotiation tactics.
  • Proactive and independent with a demonstrated ability to take initiative.
  • Proficient in, or quick learner of, applicant-tracking software and other recruitment systems.
  • Adaptability to changing responsibilities and expectations in a startup work culture.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Adept at thinking on your feet; embracing challenges with a failure-is-not-an-option mindset.
