Content Writer for Chew On This - Job Description

Chew On This is a media company that works with some of the most authoritative thought leaders within the eCommerce and CPG industry.


It started off as a podcast and newsletter from Ronak Shah and Ashvin Melwani, The founders of Obvi (a 8-figure supplement brand), but quickly turned into a media hub that helps thought leaders share their expertise as well as monetizing it.


We’re growing rapidly, and are planning to produce more content than ever in 2024 - and therefore we need more sharp brains on our team to take help our thought leaders with creating content for social media channels and their newsletter.


We have a rock-solid foundation and all the key ingredients for building a vast social following and growing a newsletter, as a thought leader


For you, this means;

  • You will get to work directly with some of the sharpest minds within Content Creation, as well as eCommerce & CPG (The Thought Leaders)

Responsibilities + Scope of Work

  • Work directly with Content Strategist to build social media strategies based on creator goals and then execute on the plan. You will be directly involved in building the strategy, being creative, and setting the direction for how the content strategy should be shaped
  • Create engaging and authoritative content for our creators’ newsletters, Twitter profiles, LinkedIn Profiles
  • Manage the content calendar and make sure that every content piece is always delivered to the highest quality standard and on time
  • Communicate with designers to create graphics for the social media posts or newsletters (For example for LinkedIn Caroussels)
  • Reviewing ongoing analytics and optimizing content performance across all channels ongoing
  • Reviewing ongoing trend research provided by other team members and making recommendations on where to participate to increase brand exposure
  • Collaborate with other team members using Slack + Notion
  • Continually brainstorm new ideas and concepts for social media content


👀 The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Who has 2-5 years of experience in Content Marketing. Experience with writing for DTC founders is a BIG plus. This could come from writing for an agency that is selling to DTC founders or a SaaS company that is selling to DTC founders. It
  • Proven track record writing high-performing Twitter threads (You would need to share examples)
  • Proven track record writing high-performing LinkedIn content, both long-form and short form (You would need to share examples)
  • Ideally has experience managing freelancers or in-house team
  • Has familiarity with the eCommerce and startup/VC ecosystems on Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Demonstrable ability to analyze performance data and work cross-functionally to understand the measurable impact of strategy and content decisions
  • Proficient in popular social platforms Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok (the latter two are for research purposes — you would only be creating for Twitter and LinkedIn)
  • Proficient in using project management tools
  • Strong knowledge of social media trends, memes, and pop culture
  • Goal-driven and self-motivated team player with a passion for learning and growing in a collaborative environment
  • Has impeccable written and verbal communication skills, and pays high attention to detail
  • Full professional proficiency in English



🌎 Work Location:

Fully remote


Time Commitment:

Freelance, Part-Time, or Full-Time.


💰 Compensation:

$60,000 to 80,000 annually for FTE.

$30,000 to $40,000 annually for PTE.

Freelancers: Will be discussed based on bandwidth and experience.
