TELECOMMUTE                       LOCATION: Remote, Work from home

FullThrottle Labs is looking for an Mobile App Ninja with experience in developing incredible mobile apps! This role will start off with a 2-month contract leading to a full-time position as the Android lead in our company. This will be a WFH role initially, hopefully transitioning to an in-office role in our Bangalore offices by Q1 2021.

We believe in ownership and are looking for people driven to continuously ship new, impactful features and capabilities for our users and partners. Seasoned ability to design, develop and test new functionality, whilst ensuring platform is always robust and scalable.



Responsibilities and Duties
  • Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work with outside data sources and APIs.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Required skills:

  • 1 + years of experience in designing and building applications on the Android platform.
  • Hands on experience in developing Android applications using Kotlin/Java or Flutter/React Native.
  • Strong on architectural (MVC, MVP, MVVM, MVI) and GoF design patterns.
  • Unit test development experience or Test-Driven development.
  • Strong problem solving and good debugging skills needed to identify, research and resolve problems.
  • Experience in Android Studio.
  • Deep Knowledge of Android OS, permissions, experience in integrating 3rdparty SDKs.
  • Experience in Git (Must).

Bonus Optional Skills:

  • Experience in Github, code reviews and PRs.
  • Extensive experience in various Android versions, Android SDK and Android Studio.
  • High proficiency in Web services integration using HTTP, REST, JSON and XML.
  • Familiarity with Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices - Expert in Layouts.
  • Have a good understanding of push notification services.
