Senior Financial Analyst

HubSpot is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst on the Strategic Finance team within our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. In this role, you will support our Business Development & Strategy teams by analyzing the financial implications of proposed strategic initiatives to enable decision making. You will be specifically responsible for identifying and validating key data sources, synthesizing data into flexible and comprehensive financial analyses, and assisting with cross-functional project management and execution. The primary areas of focus for this role include M&A / corporate development activities, long term financial modeling, pricing & packaging changes, and other opportunistic and ongoing company-wide financial priorities.

• Build comprehensive financial models to analyze strategic investment proposals
• Understand and synthesize key data utilized by our business to enable decision making
• Help support our Business Development & Strategy teams to quantify the financial impact of pricing and packaging decisions, and M&A / corporate development activities
• Help support company-wide ongoing and opportunistic financial initiatives such as assisting with developing and updating the long-term financial model (5+ year P&L).
• Assist with overseeing the project management and cross-functional coordination of strategic initiatives for the FP&A team.
• Package and present recommendations to key stakeholders to facilitate decision making. Recommendations should include consideration of the qualitative components in addition to any quantitative analysis performed. Understand and communicate key deadlines and process updates to all stakeholders to prevent business disruption.

We are looking for people who:

• Have a proven track record of professional success; industry experience in finance, strategy, operations, or consulting in the technology/SaaS industry preferred.
• Have strong business consulting, strategic, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Are masters in Excel. Experience with SQL, Looker or other big data / BI tools, NetSuite, and/or Adaptive Insights a plus.
• Are comfortable summarizing and identifying the key informational gaps with incomplete data records
• Operate well in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to the ever-evolving landscape of HubSpot’s financial priorities and requests
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
