We are looking for a mobile developer with solid experience building native Android applications. You should have a passion for remarkable user experiences and clean code. We believe simple can be much harder than complex. You should strive to find the best and simplest solution, not the most obvious. The Android developer will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications. Android programming works closely with other development and technical teams.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
- Design and build our Tribe Social, Exceed and other proprietary Android applications
- Work closely with our designers and our backend engineers to create remarkable user-experiences for our clients
- Work on bug fixes and improving application performance
- Identifying and resolving bottlenecks, rectifying bugs and enhancing application performance
- Write well-crafted, high-quality, self-documented, and easy to maintain code
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and design new features
- Performing unit and instrumentation tests on code
- Identify the variations of fragments and layouts of Android XML and create adaptive interfaces that work with various device form factors
Skills & Requirements
- At least 3 years experience writing native Android applications
- Proficiency in Java and Kotlin
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Strong understanding of the HTTP Protocol and REST APIs
- Experience with Git and Github
Preferred skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related experience
- Proficiency with Firebase and Fabric databases
