CSN is looking for a National Director, Business Development, reporting to Senior Vice President of Business Development. The primary function of the National Director of Business Development is to grow CSN’s Business Development with Canada’s top insurance carriers and to grow our network of collision repair facilities across Canada.
Primary Objectives Of The Role
Support SVP in the development and execution of CSN’s Corporate Strategy
Lead and mentor regional direct reports to deliver team goals
Work with direct reports to identify and develop short- and long-term objectives
Build departmental tactical plans and KPI’s
Manage the carrier proposal development cycle – RFI, RFP, etc.
Remain current on industry trends, conditions, and competition in the market
Deliver results in both store count growth and carrier growth
Align with CSN Senior Leadership to synchronize sales efforts within the sales division
Manage the sales process across the country, ensuring on-boarding, contract renewals, communications, workflows, and reporting structures are met
Active within the Industry to ensure relations are built with executive leaders in key organizations
Identify new business opportunities and develop high-value partnerships to grow same store insurer business and to support CSN’s store expansion throughout Canada
Develop and execute strategies to identify and store prospects and effectively communicate our value proposition
Develop relationships with major accounts by acting as a trusted advisor and capitalize on those relationships to increase sales
Lead contract negotiations between CSN and carrier partners
Knowledge of market-share analysis and territory management skills
Market Research: Perform a wide range of analysis to gain in-depth understanding of our market’s needs and potential customers’ expectations
Work with the executive team to strategize, forecast and exceed annual sales targets

Understanding of the Automotive & Insurance Industry is an asset but not necessary
Enthusiastic approach to working in Microsoft Office and learning new technology tools
Experience leading contract negotiations and experience in drafting contracts
Strong closing techniques; using logical, incremental steps; ability to close a sale through continuously describing benefits
The ability to build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
Market Research: Perform a wide range of analysis to gain familiarity with of our clients’ needs and expectations.

Education And Qualifications
Clear oral and written communication skills in both English and French is an asset
University Degree is a requirement
5+ years working within an account management role, preferably with experience dealing with top 10 insurance carriers
Work Environment And Other Requirements
The environment for this role is fast paced and complex, involving urgent timelines, multiple competing priorities and managing numerous stakeholders
Successful candidate will be required to work out of their home office and have access to a personal vehicle.
From time to time, candidate must be able to work weekends or afterhours to support the business
Open concept office environment
Able to lift up to 25 pounds
Must have a valid driver’s license, per transport Canada requirements
Travel Requirements
Candidate must be able to travel, overnight stay may be required
Driving alone for long periods of time may be required
