About Atticus
At any given time, 16 million Americans are experiencing a crisis that requires urgent help from our legal system or government. The right assistance could transform their lives. But today, most never get it.
Atticus makes it easy for any person in crisis to get the life-changing aid they deserve. In just three years, we've become the leading platform connecting people with disabilities to government benefits. We also help victims of accidents, misconduct, and violence get compensation from insurance. So far, we've gotten thousands of people access to over $2B in life-changing aid, and we're just getting started.
Atticus has raised $53 million from top VC firms like GV (One Medical, Stripe, Uber), Forerunner (Jet, Glossier, Warby Parker), and True Ventures (Peloton, Fitbit, Ring). We are always on the lookout for great, mission-driven people to join our team.
About The Role
Our space is a fascinating one for content and SEO. Millions of people are eager for accurate information, so search volume is high. And helping qualified clients is profitable, so competition is fierce. What's ranked historically has been awful: Pages of low-quality articles that are chock full of keywords but devoid of useful advice — usually published by sites hoping to collect your phone number and sell it to a shady firm.
Atticus' goal is to change this paradigm — and we're off to a strong start. We're building a high-quality content library that demystifies legal concepts and holds genuine value for people in crisis. And we've 10x-ed organic traffic twice since we started publishing last year.
You should be excited to write, edit, and brief freelancers (it'll be a big part of your day-to-day). But you'll also work with our Head of Content to expand and mature our content ecosystem—iterating on our processes, maintaining our publishing standards, and crafting high-touch/high-value content that directs our clients and grows our brand.
To start, you'll:
