Mission:
The mission of the Content Editor Intern is to provide editorial and administrative support at all stages of the editorial development process on behalf of the Product and Content team at EBSCO Learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with editorial tasks and content workflow, including research, planning, copyediting, proofing, revising, loading, and performing content maintenance.
Assist with the contracting process for new projects, including arranging for signature/countersignature, maintaining records, and processing payment requests.
Assist in project set-up, create and maintain accurate product/content data using various internal systems, and deal quickly and efficiently with routine queries and tasks.
Use SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and other intranet applications as needed.
Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a relevant course of study (i.e., English, communications, writing, education). Ideally, candidates should have completed at least two years of their undergraduate studies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent English language skills and an eye for detail.
Curiosity, creativity, and an interest in educational technology, test preparation, and instructional design.
Excellent organizational and project management skills. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Fluent in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition and MLA.
