Applause is a leader in software testing and digital quality. As a User Experience Researcher (UXR) at Applause, you will be part of a small but mighty team within the UX Practice, reporting into the Director of UX Research.
The focus of your work will be to drive UX Research excellence by understanding the objectives of our clients, sampling research approach(es) to meet these objectives, and by working in collaboration with a cross-functional team to execute both moderated and unmoderated studies.

What You'll Bring to Numerator
Experience we are looking for:
- Previous experience in User Experience Research roles
- Expertise in qualitative research across the entire product lifecycle and experience tracking the success of research outcomes
- Experience influencing technology client relationships at mid to senior executive level
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to present to and interact with all levels of management
- Experience orchestrating work within larger cross-functional teams
- Ability to coach, mentor, and train others
Preferred experience:
- Master’s degree
- Previous experience working in a UX agency setting
- Previous experience working in a consulting role with clients (e.g., Business/management consulting, UX consulting)
- Experience in service design/UX design/product design/visual design
- Experience conducting international UX research
- Fluent in multiple languages
- Experience with research and design tools like Qualtrics, Lookback, Figma etc.
- Experience with project management tools like Monday.com
Salary range: $125,000- $145,000 base salary + competitive bonus program and benefitsSalary range for this position is included in accordance with current state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, experience, and performance in the role.NOTE that as part of the technical assessment there is a "take-home" task that looks like this:- Mock interview (15 min) with an Applause employee - to gauge your interviewing skills as well as your skills to distill research goals and your ability to translate them into a interview questions
- Mock-client presentation (75 min) to the UX research team - to see how you present your findings as well as gauge an idea of your ability to analyze and synthesize user feedback
