Job Description:
Seeking a PHP Web Developer Sr. to join the Web Application and Development (WebDev) team. This is a newly created role that provides critically needed support to a dedicated web application project within the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), working as part of the Managed Application, Infrastructure, Networking, Enterprise, and Security Services (MAINES) contract. The Web Developer Sr. works in unison with several matrixed teams across client and contractor organizations. This role regularly interfaces with clients, software developers, and other technical personnel and functions as a primary technical point of contact and must be experienced and comfortable in a client-facing role.
The individual in this role will be primarily tasked with PHP web development and will regularly interact with endpoints and have a working understanding of APIs. The migration effort will require working with customer to analyze the existing features and functionality to determine precise requirements and incorporating improvements into the migrated application. The migration is expected to be a multi-year effort, and once completed, this role will continue to provide ongoing, regular monitoring and maintenance of the application.
General Position Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Develops, codes, deploys, and maintains web applications and websites. Tests and creates contingency plans for optimal website usability and connectivity.
- Analyzes customer requirements and provides websites according to the client's wide range of moderately complex specifications and needs.
- Collaborates with graphics and web designers to develop web applications and websites.
- Provides thorough testing and finalization of web applications and websites for next level production.
- Maintains and recommends moderately complex updates to websites ensuring changes are implemented without disruption.
- Creates and implements moderately complex contingency plans in preparation of website outages.
- Builds upon current knowledge of relevant programming that will enhance web applications and websites overall functionality.
- Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced web developer personnel
Required Skills/All Required Technologies:
- BA/BS, Technical Training, Certification(s), or Degree
- 3+ years of Computer Science/Information Technology experience
- Highly proficient problem-solving ability
- Ability to apply principles of process improvement & best practices in process documentation
- Ability to independently provide direct support in a client-facing role
- Ability to manage multiple, high-priority projects, tasks, and deadlines and shift focus as necessary
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Technical Skillset & Technology Stack (3+ years practical experience within an organization, unless otherwise stated):- PHP web development experience.
- JavaScript development experience.
- Moderate experience with Oracle Database, or other such as SQL Server, MySQL.
- Practical experience using Bitbucket (Git) or other Version control system.
- Data entry optimization, form improvements, data analysis and optimization (with respect to Oracle database).
- Familiarity with Administrator role in a Cpanel environment.
- AWS/Azure familiarity [Preferred].
- Familiarity with Atlassian suite tools (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket) used for issue. ticketing, backlog, Scrum board
- Ability to supervise both people and process.

The likely salary range for this position is $76,000 - $114,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
