We are seeking a User Interface Developer with User Experience Design skills to join our team!
We develop a variety of applications that require a user-friendly GUI interface which external end-users will operate. Accordingly, we require a candidate who is experienced with both UX and UI principles and who will be able to design and implement usable, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces.
Key Position Responsibilities:
As a Front End designer/developer you will be responsible for:
- Learning the various business domain models of our division
- Designing, developing, and supporting a user-friendly browser-based interface for applications (e.g. those built on REST API)
- Working with the application developers to extend the API where necessary to support the GUI
- Implementing additional client-side logic where necessary
- Working with end users to implement feedback change requests
- Creating and maintaining a quality assurance flow
- Proven experience as a Front-End UI Developer or similar role, showcasing a strong portfolio of web development projects.
- Experience with layout tools (Figma, Sketch, etc)
- Experience with Corporate Design/Style Guides
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Familiarity with REST API interfaces
- Familiarity with back-end server implementation languages such as GoLang and Python
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Familiarity with automated build pipeline concepts and implementations (e.g. GitHub Actions)
- Familiarity with development quality best practices such as test-driven design and automated testing and tooling
- Familiarity with agile software development best practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
