About Our Client
Our client, Halo – powered by Hines Global Ventures, is an innovative technology startup that is transforming the way vacant space is marketed, priced, and presented. They're on a mission to remedy the often tedious and inefficient commercial real estate marketing process by leveraging cutting-edge tools and channels such as LinkedIn and Google, to reach beyond traditional broker-to-broker networks. Halo is focused on directly targeting potential tenants to uncover new prospects, which in turn facilitates increased tours and accelerates the leasing process.
This is a 12 month contract, with potential to be extended/convert to a permanent position.
/ THE ROLE
We are looking for a highly skilled, senior developer with 5+ years of full-stack development, with an emphasis on the front end and UI. You’ll be responsible for developing and designing the user-facing components including, web architecture, ensuring the responsiveness of applications, and working alongside graphic designers, among other duties.
You will be required to take ownership of a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail. While you will be required to work across the tech stack, you will be primarily responsible for the client side of application which is a React SPA currently.
You will leverage your excellent communication skills and have strong opinions on the right way to get things done. You will make regular decisions that balance making things quickly vs making things scalable/performant. You love a win-win situation and always look for ways to make that happen.
We’re a small team iterating on our product rapidly, but in well-organized agile sprints.
Full Stack Developer responsibilities:
- Developing front end website architecture.
- Designing user interactions on web pages.
- Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile devices.
- Ensuring adequate performance and ui responsiveness of applications.
- Partnering with graphic designers to find the easiest way to a great user experience.
- Developing back end functionality.
- Configuration of servers and databases.
- Seeing through a project from conception to finished product.
- Integrating third-party APIs.
- Meeting both technical and consumer needs.
- Production deployment of front and back end applications.
- Staying abreast of developments in cyber security.
Requirements
- Javascript/Typescript
- React (client and server-rendered components)
- Node JS
- SQL (postgresql, mysql)
- Modern UI framework usage (Next.JS, Astro, Vue.JS, etc…)
- Devops and CI/CD experience
- Experience with distributed/serverless architecture and services
- Experience with cross platform development (Flutter, React Native, etc…)
- Experience with other SPA frameworks (Vue, Ember, Angular)
- Experience with InfoSec best practices (OWASP)
- Experience with client testing frameworks (Playright, Jest, Cypress, Jasmine etc)
- Experience interacting and coordinating work with remote/offshore development teams
