The VP of Financial Wellness and Education will be a change agent for financial wellness within eMoney by leading efforts to drive product and brand awareness, driving adoption of products, and providing thought leadership for eMoney’s expanding portfolio of financial education products and services. You will champion the mission of providing full spectrum financial education for clients of all backgrounds by being an ambassador within the industry, driving product awareness, excitement and demand while also positioning eMoney as a thought leader in the financial wellness domain. To be successful, this individual will be expected to work collaboratively with a wide array of internal and external parties. Internally, you will use your passion and experiences to educate and elevate others across the entire organization as eMoney expands our brand and product line beyond traditional financial planning. You will work alongside key stakeholders and leaders in Product, Marketing and Sales to drive a compelling product roadmap, create engaging content and demand generation strategies; to strategize and deliver on a product vision that is in line with the expectations and needs of the market; to drive sales, engagement and retention results; and to help evangelize the culture of financial education and wellness across the company. Externally, this individual will serve as a brand ambassador for eMoney’s financial wellness and education offerings, via webinars, conferences, publications and more, and will support the enterprise and advisor sales teams as a subject matter expert with key clients and prospects, ultimately driving sales, adoption and engagement with our full suite of products and services. Outstanding communication and collaboration skills will be critical to success.
Responsibilities and Duties - Serve as eMoney’s champion and spokesperson for financial wellness, education and literacy, both for specific product or service offerings, as well as from an overarching thought leadership perspective, conducting interviews with reporters, actively engaging on social media and with digital audiences, and attending live events/speaking engagements as needed
- Drive the demand, growth and engagement of eMoney’s financial education and wellness products and services
- Partner with Marketing to create videos, webinars and other thought leadership content (blogs, whitepapers, bylined articles) to help build brand awareness and establish eMoney as a strong player in the financial wellness space.
- Work closely with Product to provide direct input and guidance into the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligned with market and customer demands and expectations.
- Develop strategies for growth and awareness of eMoney’s brand in the financial education and wellness domains.
- Engage with and support both current clients and prospects to drive sales results, and to cultivate advocates to maximize engagement and retention (outbound prospecting, pipeline creation, product demonstrations)
- Support, mentor, and teach less experienced members of the Financial Planning Group. Observe Trainings and Presentations, providing feedback for development within each of FPG’s focus areas.
- Understand the competitive landscape and continuously evaluate opportunities for growth, investment, and partnership
- Assist Product Marketing with developing go-to-market strategies, product positioning and value propositions for each target audience in order to create the required collateral to assist in the sales and adoption of our products
- Assist the Training and Support teams in creating the collateral and curriculum for onboarding and supporting new users
- Identify new channels for growth/partnership to extend the reach of the eMoney product line to new audiences
- Establish KPIs and trackable metrics for the role, in support of strategic company objectives
- Engage and support any other departments where financial planning or financial literacy knowledge is required for a project or stakeholder interaction
- Stay engaged and up-to-date on changes in the financial wellness and literacy landscape
Requirements (Education and Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- In-depth knowledge of financial planning and education in a variety of scenarios
- Demonstrated thought leadership in financial education and financial wellness
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in financial services or financial planning
- Minimum 7+ years of management experience
- Industry designation (or on track) such as CFP, CLU, or MBA strongly preferred
- Sales experience preferred
