We are looking for an experienced technical project manager to join our growing team for a fixed term contract with an opportunity for renewal at the end of the contract. You will be working within a team in a leading neuroscience software company with a strong international presence.
The role primarily involves defining the vision for a software product, gathering and prioritizing requirements for the product with a customer, creating and tracking product roadmaps with a team and collaborating with other directors in the team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in technical project management in an academic and/or industry setting.
This is a remote position, however meeting the team and travelling to the UK or US may be necessary.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities:
- Manage the project development process, including resources and capacity planning
- Define product vision and articulate and organize stakeholders around this vision
- Work with stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements
- Create and evolve project roadmaps based on changing customer needs
- Interact and manage expectations with product stakeholders
Essential
- Strong fluency level of spoken and written English language communication abilities
- 2+ years of experience in project management
- Team leading experience
- Working experience with Agile development methodologies
- Experience delivering under deadlines
- PhD in a life science related field
Desired
- Previous experience working remotely
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (developers, modelers, researchers)
- Experience with data science and data visualization
- Passion for translational projects between academic and industry researchers
- PhD in neuroscience or related field
