This
is high volume, customer service environment. You'll need to be efficient,
productive and thorough dealing with our members over the phone.
You
also must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes evening hours.
This
position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday.
Employees
are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8 hour shift schedules
during our normal business hours of 8am - 5pm.
It
may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

will be conducted virtually from your home. What we do defines who we are. Take

Manage administrative intake of members
+
Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage
requests for services from members and/or providers
+
Process incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations, including
intake, notification and census roles
+
Assist the clinical staff with setting up documents/triage cases for Clinical
Coverage Review
+
Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers.
You'll

Required
Qualifications:
+
High School Diploma or GED
+
2+ years of customer service experience
+
2+ years of experience working within the health care Industry or with health
care insurance
+1+
year of experience in an administrative (office) support role
+
Experience with MS Word, Excel (create, edit, save documents) and Outlook
(email and calendar management)
+
You will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's US Telecommuting Policy
+
If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen
for symptoms using the Protect Well mobile app, Interactive Voice Response
(i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth
Group-approved symptom screener.
When
in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in
common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local
masking orders
Preferred
Qualifications:

Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
+
Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes
+
Experience working in a call center UnitedHealth Group is an essential
business.
