Market Intelligence Analyst 

Seegrid is seeking to fill a role for a Competitive and Market Intelligence Analyst. This position will report to the Director of Market Intelligence and will be responsible for delivering actionable data-driven insight to Seegrid through in-depth business, market, and competitive analysis. The ideal candidate will have a background in robotics, material handling, or AI and experience using a variety of tools and techniques to collect and interpret competitive intelligence data. This role will function as a hands-on practitioner and collaborate with the Sales, Corporate Development and Marketing teams. This position does not require relocation to company headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, finance or a related field and at least 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, high school diploma or GED and 8 years of relevant experience.
  • MBA is highly preferred.
  • Strong business acumen, organizational skills and time management skills are required.
  • Strong background in secondary research and experience with proprietary databases such as Factiva, LexisNexis, Hoovers, Refinitiv, etc. is highly preferred. 
  • Experience in robotics, material handling, warehouse optimization, or artificial intelligence or similar industries is highly preferred.
  • Strong team player, excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service driven.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • In collaboration with Sales, Corporate Development and Marketing teams, collect and analyze data to evaluate existing and potential product/service markets. 
  • Runs analysis involving competitors, pricing, sales, methods of marketing, existing and potential customer preferences, economic conditions, advertising, distribution, and other factors that may influence future sales.
  • Develop and deploy effective methods to monitor relevant market trends, competitive moves, and overall market dynamics.
  • Develop and leverage internal and external knowledge networks to build a comprehensive view of the market (e.g. vendors, trade shows, conferences, industry events).
  • Lead competitive assessments to collect and develop customer and competitor intelligence including the development of the presentation and pre-read materials.
  • Analyze and translate information to develop strategic responses and summarize relevant insights by condensing, prioritizing, and translating the impact to the business.
  • Support the Corporate Development function including data gathering and analysis. Gather, analyze and report on internal/external financial data as required.
  • Research and monitor markets using a variety of primary and secondary sources.
  • Maintain CI databases, competitor playbooks, capability assessments, and tools by appropriately cataloging customer, competitor, technology and pricing information.
