Position Purpose:

Sr Marketing Associate, Proposal Content will manage bid responses, from intake to submission, for Stericycle's largest customers and prospects. As an industry-leader in regulated waste and document destruction, Stericycle's customer base consists of the largest healthcare organizations in the North America, from hospital networks to pharmaceutical manufacturers, retail pharmacy chains, dialysis centers, among others.

The Sr Marketing Associate, Proposal Content is responsible for the development of proposals, bids, quotations, RFP and RFI responses, or other documentation describing organizational products and services in response to requests from prospects or customers. In addition, this team member is responsible for maintaining an accurate content database of standard/common responses to RFPs, ensuring that standard responses and distribution channels are up to date. Finally, this team member will also support the RFP Process Lead with day-to-day program management activities.

The successful candidate must be a skilled writer and copy editor who can develop key selling messages in partnership with Sales; is able to craft concise, compelling executive summaries; possesses a high level of attention to detail; and proactively and independently works to meet tight deadlines. In addition, the successful candidate must develop a thorough understanding of Stericycle's service lines, proactively engage key stakeholders from across Stericycle (which can include: Sales, Marketing, Pricing, Contracts, Operations and Legal), and be able to navigate a matrixed organization.


The Responsibilities
•Drive the proposal response, including sourcing information where needed and crafting key selling messages in partnership with sales.
•Proofread and edit copy for RFP and RFI responses.
•Maintain and update as needed the library of RFP questionnaire responses.
•Support RFP Process Lead with overall program management, including preparing for day-to-day meetings, tracking deadlines, etc.
•Maintain self-serve materials for RFP response, including standard templates.
•Maintain Qvidian or other RFP management tool (e.g., refreshing responses, cleaning up answers that are out of date, flagging popular ones, etc.).
•Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Education and Experience :

•Bachelor's degree, ideally in marketing, journalism, or communications discipline or equivalent work experience.
•3+ years' experience in a content development or management role, preferably in a B2B services environment within a complex and highly-regulated industry.
•Experience in writing and editing proposals and RFP and RFI responses in alignment with business objectives and key messages.

License and Requirements:

•Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•Can proofread materials for accuracy, correct use of grammar, punctuation and content. Ensures all documents and materials meet established branding standards.
•Experience with the latest content and messaging trends and best practices with a strong attention to quality, detail, and timelines.
•Strong business writing skills.
•Proven track record as a collaborator and self-starter who exercises discretion and independent judgment.
•Strong knowledge of Qvidian, or similar RFP management tools.
•Strong time and project management skills, ability to set priorities and work independently.
•Developed interpersonal skills to relate and communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
•Ability to take ownership of a RFP/RFI from intake to submission.
