Overview:
Job Title: Copywriter - Hybrid
The copywriter will work with multiple teams in the Sally & Cosmo Prof
divisions to conceive, develop, and produce effective campaigns. This includes
working with the CRM team to create weekly emails for both professional and
Rewards Member audiences and the e-commerce team to update the websites.
Specifically, the copywriter will write clear, persuasive, original copy,
coming up with catchphrases, slogans, messages, product descriptions,
informational brochures, educational pieces, contest information and more. The
copywriter must work with art directors and designers to ensure copy tone and
style are consistent with visual tone and style.
This position requires working in a close creative partnership with the team to
generate workable concepts and ideas.
Work with creative & brand marketing partners to create unique and engaging
digital experiences across multiple channels.
Concept and develop copy for omnichannel brand communications, including
emails, e-commerce, digital marketing, organic and paid social, packaging,
video and marketing collateral.
Inventory and assess the quality of our website content, and repurpose, edit
and create new site content.
In this role you must be able to work on multiple
projects simultaneously:
- Edit, revise or redevelop
copy in response to feedback from the brand team, marketing, merchants
& creative leadership.
- Prioritization skills are a
must in order to meet deadlines.
- Overseeing copy in campaigns
from the production stage through completion.
- Effectively present creative
concepts and communicate messaging rationales.
- Complete all assigned work
on time, providing regular status updates to the manager.
- This position is a hybrid
role: 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home

Knowledge,
Skills And Abilities:
- Degree in English,
Journalism, Communications or a related field
- At least 2 years' experience
as either a copywriter or content analyst (or both)
- Experience writing for
digital (email, e-commerce, landing pages, social, paid media, video)
- Self-motivated with a keen
enthusiasm for and demonstrable understanding of the web industry and
technologies
- Exceptional writing skills,
including the ability to write in a range of voices and styles for varied
projects, a talent for persuasion, a vivid imagination, and a fluency with
language
- Work portfolio required
- Proficiency in Microsoft
Office
- Experience with project
management tools like JIRA or Workfront is a plus
- A background in proofreading
or copy editing is also a plus

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements:
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require
standard safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and
training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use
of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls,
observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is
adequately lighted, heated and ventilated.
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the
work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light
items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an
automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
