We are on the lookout for a Senior Copywriter, Brand Marketing who will be a cornerstone in creating and reviewing product and content marketing copy, design, and video collateral for marketing and outreach campaigns run by academic journals, publishers, and societies. This role mandates a harmonious blend of understanding digital content coupled with a deep understanding of the academic publishing landscape.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation and Review: Craft compelling marketing copy for a variety of mediums including print, digital, and video. Ensure the content aligns with the objectives of academic journals, publishers, and societies.
Collateral Design Collaboration: Work closely with design teams to develop visually appealing and effective marketing materials that complement the written content.
Campaign Strategy Development: Play a pivotal role in strategizing and executing marketing and outreach campaigns, focusing on both creativity and academic integrity.
Digital Content Mastery: Demonstrate a strong grasp of digital content trends and best practices, ensuring that all marketing efforts are up-to-date and effective in reaching the target audience.
Academic Publishing Insight: Apply an in-depth understanding of the academic publishing landscape to create content that resonates with the academic community, including researchers, educators, and institutions.
Qualifications And Prerequisites:
Experience: Proven track record as a copywriter or content creator, preferably with experience in the academic publishing sector.
Educational Background: A degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field. Additional qualifications in academic disciplines can be advantageous.
Digital Savvy: Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms, SEO principles, and content management systems.
Creativity and Analytical Skills: Ability to blend creative thinking with analytical rigor to produce compelling marketing materials.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with various teams.
Knowledge of Academic Publishing: Familiarity with the trends, challenges, and opportunities in the field of academic publishing.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy and quality of all marketing materials.
