As a Business Development Executive, you will be selling IT services & solutions surrounding the Oracle platform to Mid-sized to Enterprise business across Canada. You will be primarily prospecting new business and existing contacts to sell Oracle services & solutions. The Canadian head office is based out of Mississauga but this is primarily a remote position. The position includes a $150,000 - $175,000 base salary, commission, perks, and the ability to earn $250,000+ in the first year.

THE LOCATION:

  • Head Office - Dallas, US
  • Canadian Head office - Mississauga, ON - Smaller team with 12 employees
  • This is an Outside Sales position, primarily working remote

THE POSITION:
As an Oracle Sales Executive, you will be focused on new business development with a focus on Oracle services & solutions. You’ll be tasked to bring in new business as the main point of contact. You will be selling to CIOs, IT Directors, Purchasing Managers, IT Supervisors/Managers across Canada.

THE PRODUCT / SERVICE:

  • IT Managed Services and Solutions surrounding Oracle systems
  • Oracle SaaS Cloud Applications: Oracle ERP, EPM, and HCM Cloud, Oracle WebCenter, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle PaaS and Oracle IaaS, Oracle Engineered Systems, and Oracle Database Software
  • Oracle Systems & Solutions: Oracle Database, Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle SaaS Applications, Oracle SOA, Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle Engineered Systems including Exadata, Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL), Oracle Java, Oracle WebLogic, and Oracle Middleware.

PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS:

  • Mid-sized to Enterprise company
  • Non-Profit

SALES CYCLE & PRODUCT VALUE:

  • The average order size is $25k - $250k per month on yearly contracts
  • Typical project size can range from $50k to $1M
  • Length of time to close is typically within 60 days

TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES:

  • 50% Prospecting for new business (cold outreach/internal contact lists)
  • 25% Following up on supplied leads
  • 20% Presenting and closing
  • 5% Administrative duties

TRAVEL:

  • Less than 25% travel across Canada

Compensation & Benefits:

Preferred Experience & Background:

  • 10+ years of tech sales experience in a solutions selling environment
  • Must have 3+ years of experience selling Oracle services & solutions
  • Experience working with an Oracle Managed service provider
  • Strong understanding of ERP Transformation Services, Cloud Engineering or Managed Services
 a definite asset

EDUCATION:

  • Post-secondary, or professional experience equivalent
