We’re looking for our next Senior UX Researcher. Could It Be You?


The Senior UX Researcher is a champion for putting the customer first and has a deep passion in understanding customer behaviour. They will create lifecycle journeys to improve the customer experience, engagement and retention as we deliver on our promise to help customers keep more of their money as they become more financially successful and secure.


What’s it like working as a Senior UX Researcher at Questrade?


The Senior User Researcher advocates for a user-centered approach to product development. You’ll work within the UX team to design and execute studies to better understand how people use financial products. From there, you’ll interpret data through the lens of a social scientist, communicate your results in a compelling way and integrate research into product designs and design practices.

  • Working with Designers to define the research questions and hypotheses
  • Picking the most appropriate research methodology for the task at hand
  • Synthesizing results from research collaboratively and share results with team members in ENGAGING and UNIQUE reports and presentations
  • Working with Designers to transform our research insights into actions
  • Working with the Research team to define and promote the practice of UX research across Questrade
  • Acting as a mentor to more junior UX Researchers


So are YOU our next Senior UX Researcher? You are if you…


  • You have a Masters degree in HCI, Psychology, Anthropology, Social Science or a related field
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience working as a UX Researcher
  • You have passion about UX Research - you love working in this field!
  • You think outside of the box when it comes to delivering our results in an effective manner to our stakeholders
  • You can keep an eye on the larger picture and not just the study you are currently working on
  • You have hands-on experience with a range of generative and evaluative research methods
  • You are a self-starter that takes ownership of projects and learns on the go
  • You have curiosity and love to ask lots of questions, especially “why”
  • You have experience using Figma
  • You have experience bringing awareness about UX Research to their organization in creative ways
  • You have experience making a difference for your past employer and your past customer bases through the UX Research you have conducted


Additional kudos if you…


  • You have experience with investing in stocks / ETFs
  • You've worked at a fintech in the past
  • You have experience or a passion for interaction design
