ITIL Procedure Writer
Large Retail
Rate: $40-53
Location: 100% Remote – working east coast hours
6 months contract that is very likely to be extended
Top 3 requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in technical/procedure writing with high quality documentation skills
- Familiar with ITIL best practices around ITSM processes Incident, Change, Release, Problem, Capacity Management including Knowledge Management
- Analyze existing, any potential content, data and documents to generate valuable information for the documents.
- Identifying best practices and areas for improvement around ITIL processes
- Working with internal resources to produce and document requirements
- Plus: Creating specific process/procedure documentation around ITIL capacity management and availability management.
Job Objective
The Procedure writer will collaborate with stakeholders to identify process document needs. Work with stakeholders to research processes and determine how best to document. Create and publish specifications, standards, work practices and procedural documentation with established deadlines. Determine best ways to ensure documents meet corporate style guidelines.
- Familiar with ITIL best practices around ITSM processes Incident, Change, Release, Problem, Capacity Management including Knowledge Management
- Produce High quality documentation

- Working with internal resources to produce and document requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in technical writing or other related field or equivalent experience
Experience
- 2-5 years technical writing/documentation experience
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and emphasis on quality of documentation.Demonstrated time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Demonstrated skills in producing high quality technical documentation Experience in Microsoft Suite
Competencies
- Demonstrated time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills so they can communicate with others about the work they are performing.
