We're hiring a remote copywriter at Owlytica.
Every day, companies around the world purchase and implement technology through IT resellers. As technology constantly evolves, these IT Resellers face the ongoing challenge of supporting, renewing, and updating these products on behalf of their customers.
IT Resellers such as Large MSPs, VARs (Value Added Resellers), and System Integrators serve as the backbone of this process, but their job is incredibly difficult. They must navigate the ever-changing technology landscape, analyze disparate data to make proactive recommendations, and do so within tight time constraints.
Often, these hard-working professionals find themselves "flying blind," relying on a patchwork of systems and data to handle quoting, selling, renewing, and servicing their customers. In the midst of it all, they strive to maintain good relationships with both their customers and their OEM partners, such as Cisco. However, this process consumes their time, resources, and money, sometimes straining their relationships with both parties involved.
Owlytica is a software company aimed at fixing this problem. We help IT resellers automate quoting, renewals, and upselling of Cisco products and services and give them the visibility they need to make better decisions, tighten their relationship with vendors and customers, and ultimately deliver a better customer experience
At this point, our company has a simple website. We are looking to build the next version of our website. To get this accomplished we'd like to hire a skilled writer to help us with this process.
Your role will involve brainstorming the sections needed to support the site and writing content for each section of the site targeting IT resellers, large MSPs, and system integrators.
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with our team to understand our audience and product.
Conduct research to develop persuasive and differentiated copy.
Establish a brand voice and ensure messaging that aligns with our brand voice.
Brainstorm and finalize a phased approach to sections of the website
Write engaging content for various sections of the website.
Collaborate with designers and developers to integrate copy and visuals.
[Requirements]:
Proven writing experience ideally in the IT reseller industry.
Exceptional writing and editing skills.
The ability to rapidly brainstorm, create and iterate
Experience optimizing copy for search engine visibility.
Ability to adapt writing style and tone to the target audience.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
[Ideal Outcome]:
An outline of the sections to be created for the website
The hierarchy, and messaging for each section
Copy for each section, such as the home page, about page, support page, etc
We envision this process
We give you what we have, messaging drafts, core customer, competitor analysis
We work with you to build a solid draft of the website copy
We hire a web developer/designer with Hubspot CMS skills to create the layout
A graphic designer or video designer is hired to visually communicate what we have envisioned and explained
