At Iversoft, the Design Lead leads a team of approximately 3 designers. They should have experience planning and building designs for web and mobile applications from the ground up. They will play a lead role in multiple projects, and ensure consistency across them.
Our ideal candidate needs to have strong leadership skills, and an ability to mentor and guide others in their work. They need to be dependable, responsible, function well under deadlines and be able to handle competing priorities. They will have strong communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
Design Responsibilities
- Conduct research, time estimates, and asset requirements for assigned projects
- Lead and oversee a project’s entire UX/UI strategy and find solutions to blockers
- Develop architecture, flowcharts, wireframes, prototypes, mood- boarding and formulate visual style recommendations
- Create visually appealing mobile and web interface designs and Collaborate with the development team to align visual design with development
- Document project design and organize art files
- Lead design QA reviews and support the QA team
- Assist in defining project UX/UI requirements, user-stories and provide rationale
- Adhere to and develop the Iversoft brand identity
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure they understand goals and objectives
- Creating designs for marketing collateral (social media, sales packages, case studies, etc.)
Team Responsibilities
- Mentor and coach UX/UI team members through 1-on-1s, reviews, etc.
- Train the UX/UI team on new processes and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Assist in screening and hiring UX/UI candidates.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional UX/UI experience.
- 2+ years leading a design team, in a mentorship or management capacity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience in a software development agency is mandatory.
- Extensive experience with web and mobile app design.
- Proficiency with our design toolset (Figma, PandaDoc, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Good design judgment and strong visual design skills in typography, colour, and layout.
- Attentive listening to understand client needs and motivations and exposure to client presentations
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple projects with minimal supervision
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of video or animation
- Experience with Canva and Sketch
- Experience creating templates for PandaDocs, Proposify or a similar software
