The Junior Designer is passionate about all things design, keen to rapidly develop their skills within an experienced and dedicated team. You will work closely with Senior staff on a wide range of ambitious and innovative digital and print projects spanning everything from advertising banners and emails to websites, video storyboards, and brochures. You will be responsible for helping to drive the visual direction of projects to help the team deliver world-class solutions.
What You'll Do
- Create digital and print content based on direction from Senior Digital staff
- Independently develop and design content based on strategic direction
- Work with senior art staff and copywriters to develop layouts for client, in-house, and new business projects
- Create digital wireframes, prototypes and layouts for internal & external projects
- Present digital and print solutions in internal meetings as required
- Work across multiple projects simultaneously whilst adhering to tight deadlines
- Apply 'Digital Design Excellence' and 'Digital Best Practice' in all work
- Be responsible and accountable for improving understanding of core toolset (Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Bachelor’s Degree required in graphic design, communication design, or art direction
- Entry-level experience in design and/or art direction (1-2 years design experience, agency or studio setting preferred)
- Impressive portfolio showcasing an aptitude for Digital & Design thinking
- An interest in healthcare and how it can improve people’s lives
- Passionate about Digital technology and interactive media
- A determination to learn and grow
- A strong team-player, comfortable taking direction
- Strong understanding of digital and print design, layout, and typographic principles
- Experience with core design tools (Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite)
- A basic understanding of the limitations and possibilities of development, technology, and platforms
- Demonstrate self-confidence in oral and written presentations
- Excellent time management / organizational skills
- Comfortable working under pressure to tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail & consistency
- Willingness to embrace new skills in new areas
- Highly self-motivated / professional / personable
