Are you a talented Engineer looking to join a growing team? Dispel is seeking a Full-Stack Web/API Engineer to join our team of roughly 25 engineers.
The ideal candidate should possess experience in building advanced web applications and be comfortable in working within visual design systems. You will have the opportunity to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members to deliver high-quality solutions. Location
We are a 100% fully remote company (U.S. only). You are welcome to use our office in Brooklyn, New York City.
Salary
$89k-111k. Salary is dependent on the location you reside in.

Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience
- Comfortable with HTML, CSS, and JS
- Comfortable with modern web development landscape. Your typescript and/or nodejs knowledge is more important than your framework/library knowledge
- Must have worked actively in both backend and web piece of a stack
- Fast learner. Degrees and certificates aren’t a determining factor for us. Rather, we value your ability to care about your work and learn fast
- Communication and team culture are very important at Dispel. You’ll be joining a collaborative team where new ideas and contributions are encouraged. These criteria are soft, but just relax and be genuine
- Comfortable with visual design systems.
- Good SQL knowledge
- Working on an advanced web stack that was based around React and TS
- Unit (Jest) and integration (Cypress) testing of websites and APIs
- Storybook experience
- A willingness to accept failure and feedback, learn and try again
- A passion for learning new disciplines and gaining a deep understanding of how others on the team do their work
- An ability to communicate clearly and succinctly both in-person and over team chat
