Position Summary:

We have a career opening for an End Point Management System Administrator-Intermediate in Cary, North Carolina or 100% remote. The job of the System Administrator is installing, operating, and maintaining physical/virtual operating system workstations and servers in support of business processing requirements. Perform user account management. Installs, upgrades, and patches operating systems and complex software packages. Schedules installations and upgrades in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Conduct routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Must be a self-starter; capable of working independently, under limited direction, and in team environments.

This service area focuses on enterprise-level endpoint management concerns, and validates new patches, validate gold builds, and drives resolution from newly distributed gold builds. Manage other endpoint related applications and the functionality delivered by those applications, including HBSS Toolset including MacAfee and Bitlocker, Tanium, Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).



Responsibilities and Duties

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create, execute and report on testing and implementation plans.
  • Perform Active Directory object management
  • Provide ARNG DoDIN-A Enterprise desktop implementation, schedule coordination, move, add, change and disposal services
  • Process and validate requests for all user IDs, passwords and access profiles
  • Ensure appropriate ownership and accountability exists for each support process (i.e., configuration and change management
  • Provide planning, consulting and coordination services to support upgrade desktop hardware and software configurations to newer versions.
  • Provide and maintain standard catalog of approved desktop hardware and software configurations.
  • Identify client required desktop support services as well as any activities once services are delivered
  • Create, execute and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for Enterprise Services
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Capable of resolving complex issues
  • Strong troubleshoot and debugging skills
  • Capable of multi-tasking
  • Must be a self-starter; capable of working independently, under limited direction, and in team environments


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years as a Systems Administrator
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Windows Operating System platforms
  • Level II DoD 8570 certifications: Security+ CE
  • Must have an active SECRET clearance


PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ITIL Foundation Certification (obtain within 60 days of hire)
  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
