ABOUT STITCH FIX
At Stitch Fix, we’re about personal styling for everybody and we believe in both a service and a workplace where you can be your best, most authentic self. We’re the first fashion retailer to combine technology and data science with the human instinct of a Stylist to deliver a deeply personalized shopping experience. This novel juxtaposition attracts a highly diverse group of talented people who are both thinkers and doers. All of this results in a simple, powerful offering to our customers and a successful, growing business serving millions of men, women, and kids. We believe we are only scratching the surface on our opportunity, and we’re looking for incredible people like you to help us carry on that trend.
ABOUT THE RECRUITING TEAM
We believe the most important responsibility of a manager at Stitch Fix is to build a great team. Our Recruiting team (organized into Technical, Corporate/G&A, High-Volume (Styling, Client Experience and Warehouse), and Recruiting Operations) provides expertise, strategy, coaching, and support for each manager to achieve that vision.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Hiring is a team sport at Stitch Fix - we are a company with a strong, hands-on culture of recruiting where our managers are highly engaged in the process from start to finish! Our Recruiting team provides expertise, strategy, coaching, and support for every manager to achieve that vision.
The Merchandising Corporate Recruiter will play a vital role in recruiting for roles across the Women’s, Men’s & Kids’ Merchandising organizations (buying, planning & allocation, product development, sourcing & production, and design & technical design). You will support hiring managers and their teams by helping them to build out their recruiting capabilities. You will teach them about recruiting tools, interviewing techniques and recruiting best practices through daily interactions. You will partner with them to design end-to-end recruiting strategies for their roles, help them find creative ways to source great talent, and guide them in building out robust, customized interviewing processes. Building upon your own ideas and prior experience you’ll draw upon the best practices, suggestions, and camaraderie of other Recruiting Team members. And in doing all this, you’ll help us attract the most exceptionally bright, kind and goal-oriented talent to Stitch Fix!
Responsibilities and Duties - Collaborate with hiring leaders across the Merchandising org to understand their team’s talent needs, define sourcing and assessment strategies and drive results throughout the entire recruiting process through both coaching them as well as providing expert, direct support
- Work with Merchandising leadership and fellow Recruiting team members to build out more proactive and programmatic recruiting strategies, including but not limited to a university recruiting program and other early-talent pipeline strategies
- Maintain a pulse on the competitive landscape within the fashion/apparel retail market through regular research and networking and use this knowledge to guide your own work as well as coaching hiring managers
- Initiate creative, proactive and role-specific sourcing strategies to build a dependable and strong pipeline of top-quality and motivated candidates
- Deliver a consistently wonderful candidate experience, closely tracking their progress, anticipating needs and concerns, communicating in a timely and effective manner, coaching interviewers and hiring managers as needed on candidate interactions
- Lead interviewing teams through interview debriefs and support hiring managers in making candidate and hiring decisions
- Partner with hiring managers to extend offers to candidates and strive for 100% acceptance by working with the team to authentically share the best of Stitch Fix
- Help ensure recruiting data in our ATS and other tracking documents is always clean and up-to-date; report progress to business and recruiting leaders and look for insights and trends to help you continually improve our process and candidate experience
WE’RE EXCITED ABOUT YOU BECAUSE:
- You are personally passionate about recruiting and have 2+ years of experience
- You build deeply trust-based relationships with your business partners, and you pursue your own success through influencing, coaching, and raising the capability of others

- People describe you as exceptionally organized and a guru of multi-tasking projects--you have a demonstrated bias to action and a knack for accuracy, problem-solving and creative, practical solutions!
- You are data-driven, a quick learner, and thrive on using quantitative data, applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse experience a very strong plus) and other tools to inform and drive your best work and help others improve their approaches as well
- They call you ‘the candidate whisperer’, given the intuition, emotional intelligence, and great judgment you bring to your candidate interactions and recaps
- You are an exceptional communicator in both written and verbal interactions; clear, concise, and courageous in giving tough but supportive feedback when needed
- Above all else, you are bright, kind and motivated by challenge
