About the role
Bravely is looking for a Financial Analyst to join the Finance and Business Operations team. You will work closely with team members and business partners to manage the monthly financial cycle. We are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented individual to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
What you'll do
- Support monthly close processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of data through collaboration with the Finance & Accounting team
- Develop and share reports to communicate financial information with the internal and external stakeholders
- Complete variance analysis of accounts for actuals versus budget and to ensure proper reporting of expenses
- Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections
- Oversee and optimize AP and AR processes
- Assist in maintaining insurance, taxes, and other company filings on time
- Aid in implementing software tools to modernize and scale the business
About you
- You have 3+ year experience in finance or accounting
- You have a strong understanding of US GAAP and relevant accounting standards
- You have the ability to think strategically and analytically
- You have advanced proficiency in MS Excel formulas and functions
- You have experience using Quickbooks and other systems like bill.com, Stripe, Expensify etc
- You are a highly motivated individual with an ability to drive results and work with ambiguity

Work from where it WORKS for you. We are a fully distributed remote team with an office in New York. Our team is now 100% fully distributed and remote. We will eventually offer the option to be hybrid in New York. We will not require employees located in NY to come into the office. We support flexible work policies for greater work-life balance.
