Overview of the Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting position
High profile opportunity at rapidly expanding company for public accounting professionals. The Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting will be primarily responsible for supporting the SEC filing process, preparing financial statements and other financial reporting support as needed. Will work closely with multiple teams to support global finance objectives. Successful candidates will have 3-5 years' experience, CPA, and pharmaceutical industry experience. What will be expected of me as Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting?
- Assist with the preparation of SEC filings (Form 10-K, 10-Q, Proxy, etc.)
- Primary preparer of the 10Q/K document and supporting workpapers such as tables, footnotes and schedules needed
- Gather the correct information needed to prepare the financial statements and schedules
- Prepare entries that are technical in nature and draft related memos through enquiry and research
- Prepare the quarterly and annual US GAAP disclosure checklist
- Develop and implement finance and accounting policies, including coordinating feedback amongst various stakeholders across the organization
- Review leases and perform monthly contract analysis for lease completeness,
- Maintain global lease standard operating procedures and guidance
- Assist with the global SAP consolidation process, including maintaining necessary procedures and internal controls around the system
- Ensure SOX compliance with internal control requirements
- Ensure XBRL tagging is complete
- Assist with implementing process improvements and automation projects, as needed
- Assist with other ad-hoc projects, as needed
What qualifies me for the Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting position?
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting
- 3-5 years of accounting experience (Big Four / Top Regional experience preferred)
- Experience in SEC reporting, technical accounting and research skills
- CPA preferred
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite
