Summary
Fast is seeking an Events Marketing Manager who is ready and eager to shake up events in the corporate world. We are looking for someone who understands the power and influence that events can have in driving brand awareness and helping to close business. This person will be great at helping to develop event strategy based on audience, drive buy-in, ensure team alignment, and execute flawlessly. Fast events include, but are not limited to, industry trade shows, owned conferences, customer hospitality events, regional prospecting events, large parties, and online events.
Role
- Demonstrate strategic thinking when planning events that achieve major company goals and KPIs
- Successful project management of multiple work streams
- Drive internal and external corporate event strategy, production, roadmaps, and projects
- Own event budgets and serve as a good company steward when making spending decisions
- Produce events at scale, with an understanding of the big picture and a focus on the tiniest of details
- Coordinate all operations, budgets, logistics, and suppliers relating to events while researching/proposing new events based on marketing strategies and business opportunities
- Present, promote and drive executive buy-in for decisions internally and externally, keep teams and executives informed and updated regularly
- 5+ years of event production and event management experience, preferably in a startup environment
- Strong experience managing event budgets including purchase orders, invoicing, and budget reconciliation
- Proven track record running mid-sized to large conferences and corporate events
- Proficiency with Google Docs, Excel, PowerPoint, budget trackers, and event management software
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Willingness to travel (about 30%) to oversee event set-up and serve as onsite contact
