TELECOMMUTE Location: Remote, Canada
This is a role within the Business Technology Department, residing in the Strategy and Operations Team and reports to the Director of Program Management.
As a Project Manager you will lead a range of project and initiatives that support company goals from departments across the company. You will also have the opportunity to help support the development and execution of change enablement strategies and plans for these programs. Your contributions will help fuel the overall growth and success of Guidewire.
Your leadership is primarily based in North America with business stakeholders and partners across our global locations. We seek a professional who are flexible working across time zone requirements.
Qualifications
- In order to adequately perform the responsibilities of this position, the individual must have:
- 3-5 years of Project Management experience, PMP Certification preferred.
- 3-5 years of Change Management experience, Certification preferred.
- Strong planning, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to mobilize and motivate teams.
- Experience participating in large-scale and sophisticated programs.
- Ability to operate with speed and flexibility.
- Ability to influence peers and partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver challenging messages using data to drive discussions.
- Proven track record to quickly earn the trust of executives and key partner.
- Experience with packaged application implementations and enhancements.
- Working knowledge of both waterfall and Agile Software Development methodologies.
- Experience in development and control of project plans, resource planning,
- quality and risk management, forecasts, budgeting, reporting and partner management
- Strong influencing, collaboration, persuasion, and consensus-building skills.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize data and information to provide a
- high-level view which is accessible to a range of audiences.
- Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new
- concepts, business models, and technologies.
- Highly motivated, a quick learner, to work independently or on a team and drive
- solutions with minimal supervision.
- Experienced working with virtual teams.
- Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities and Duties
The primary responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:- Managing projects of various size and complexity, Agile and Waterfall Methodologies:
- Drive key transformational projects across multiple Business Units including direct and manage efforts from conception to post implementation.
- Develop and build knowledge across the project lifecycle including scope definition, business case development, requirements gathering, functional and technical design, vendor assessment, testing, training, and implementation phase.
- Experience successfully prioritizing and balancing between competing priorities to deliver outcomes on-time and on-budget.
- Facilitate project meetings both core team and steering committee to gain awareness, make decisions and guide the program to deliver the intended value/ROI.
- Create and manage all project management artifacts including project plan, issues log, budgets, and status updates.
- Clearly communicate with business stakeholders and team members. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and partners on an ongoing basis.
- Collaborate with product owners, business relationship managers, security, and the architecture review board to deliver secure technology solutions that align with the enterprise stack and strategy.
- Manage project budgets including forecasts and actuals.
- Manage vendor relationship and review scope of work in agreements.
- Seek ways to streamline and improve PMO effectiveness and efficiency.

ASSIST WITH TECHNOLOGY CHANGE ENABLEMENT AND ADOPTION EFFORTS:- Assist with Technology Change Enablement and Adoption efforts:
- Conduct change impact assessments and develop adoption plans.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to facilitate alignment, and develop a shared understanding of the impacts, benefits, and changes to expect.
- Collaborate with Project Management and Change Enablement professionals across Guidewire sharing leading practices and evolve our methodology.
- Create change approaches, define staffing needs, and draft change plans with limited information and ambiguity.
