What We Are Looking For
The Digital Marketing Specialist is our internal champion who will strategically lead the development of Makeship’s new customer funnel. We’re looking for a motivated and analytical individual who has proven digital advertising and email marketing expertise and is hungry to take on challenging tasks, juggle multiple projects, and focus on learning and improvement. The ideal candidate is someone who gets excited by mapping out a customer journey to provide existing and new customers with relevant and helpful ads and emails, and who is equally as excited by analyzing and sharing their findings. As Digital Marketing Specialist, you'll develop and execute on strategies that will positively influence our partners product sales and our ability to connect creators with their most passionate fans. This role reports into the Director of Marketing.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and optimize best-in-class email marketing campaigns and paid social/digital ads that align with our regular weekly product launches to drive revenue growth supporting our partners.
- Obsess over the tracking and measurement of our email marketing and digital/social ad efforts, including marketing attribution and ROI of marketing spend.
- Define, report on, and forecast key performance metrics (KPI’s) on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Collaborate with external agencies/contractors and internal members of the Makeship team, including Marketing, Partnerships, Tech, Operations to ensure your efforts are aligned with company initiatives and goals.
- Consult with the Director of Marketing and Finance on the allocation of budget and suggested spend.
- Become the internal expert on everything related to our email marketing and paid ads efforts, and help educate the team on its importance and performance.
- Implement a test/learn philosophy for all activities in order to get iteratively better over time.
What You Bring
- You have 2-5 years of proven experience within email marketing and digital/social paid ads.
- Experience in email marketing, preferably in a B2B & B2C environment.
- Experience in paid search with a strong focus on Meta and Google.
- Experience with Google Tools (Google Analytics, AdWords, Tag Manager, etc.).
- A proven track record at handling and scaling corporate digital marketing efforts.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of what makes email and paid ads content engaging and important.
- An interest and appreciation for the latest trends, memes, and relevant content creators.
- A strong operator who can work in cross-functional teams and manage projects with ease.
- An eye for design and the ability to write with precision, clarity, and authenticity.
