What You’ll Do
The Products Content Specialist is responsible for researching, creating, writing, and editing all content for the Products & Strategy Division’s software and initiatives. This individual must possess excellent research and writing skills, along with the ability to communicate complex ideas into simple instructions and content.
As a Product Content Specialist At StartCHURCH You Will
Research, create, write and edit all content for Legacy and Halo software and future software initiatives.
Assemble and manage the new or already existing content for products and projects.
Optimize existing content according to best practices and make improvements and updates as necessary.
Creates all needed content for software products and product language (eg: in-app verbiage)
Creates all content for support documentation for the Products team.
Plugs in content into Applet Builder, Confluence, or similar tools for Product Content distribution.
Quality Assurance
Ensure content is consistent and cohesive across all documents and platforms.
Organize material and complete writing assignment(s) according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
Review and edit all product content for consistency, accuracy, grammar, and effectiveness within all our platforms for products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all content aligns with the company's overall messaging and branding.
Product Knowledge & Industry Research
Research and stay updated on all relevant compliance matters related to churches and ministries and our software products.
Research new and existing content for Legacy products and Halo products related to current and ongoing initiatives.
Maintain familiarity with all StartCHURCH services, products, and resources.
Content & Documentation Management
Maintains records and files of work and revisions.
Manages Craft CMS.
Manages all content assets for Products’ software.
Collaboration
Work within the Products Roadmap.
Work within and inform the Products Content Roadmap.
Collaborate with internal teams to understand product documentation requirements.
Collaborate with key individuals for translation help for Spanish-related products OR if a Spanish speaker, he or she translates the content into Spanish.
Adhere to and uphold the StartCHURCH work ethic with integrity and in a manner that honors customers and co-workers.
Where applicable, submits work for copywriting.

Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
1-3 years related experience as a Content Specialist or similar role.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
