Our large nonprofit in Washington, DC is looking for a Marketing Coordinator for a long term role. This role can be Remote.
This position reports to the VP, Experiences and Connections and coordinates implementation of multi-channel marketing and promotions plans to achieve business objectives for the Clients' Virtual Community Center, Fun & Fulfillment Enterprise Issue, and other departmental and organizational objectives. This person would ensure assigned marketing/promotional campaigns are
integrated with the departmental content/events strategy as well as concurrent marketing/promotional
campaigns led by other team members.
Organic and Programmatic
Expand non-paid/organic channels and internal. Newsletters, site postings for event promotions.
Junior. Lots of trafficking; will be exposed to decisions so that they can grow and also want them to be the SME for both organic and programmatic (everything non-social or email).
3-5 years. Must have knowledge of digital marketing. Trafficking for these marketing channels.
Technology she’d like to see: Google DB360, SA360; MSan (Microsoft)
Und marketing principles, und how to write for specific channels (# characters, how it looks to end user, so write for those channels). Must have writing exp for these channels in case they have to make updates. Must have exp writing for these channels.
Coordinates with channel marketers to develop tactical plans to achieve goals. Tracks and assesses campaign results and adjusts marketing strategies and plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions.
Collaborates with management to identify opportunities to streamline marketing processes and to
develop new procedures that support the business unit/department.
Responsibilities
- Working in a fast-moving, deadline driven, nimble team environment, works in collaboration
with content/event project managers to develop multichannel marketing/promotional plans for
projects and events for the Clients' Virtual Community Center, and events and other activities in
the Fun & Fulfillment portfolio, including scaled in person event series, and special projects.
- Work closely with channel tacticians (such as paid search, display, and native ads, newsletter) to ensure tactics are implemented as planned.
- Manages simultaneous promotion/marketing plans for multiple events/projects while meeting
tight deadlines, assuring attention to detail, and remaining nimble and responsive to a
changing marketplace.
- Works collaboratively with the other marketing staff to identify opportunities and strategies for
cross promotion or multi-event promotion.
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of
identifiable factors. Exercises judgment, within generally defined procedures and practices, in
selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Normally receives general instructions on non-routine work assignments. Requires additional
instructions and guidance on complex assignments. Uses
professional concepts and company policies and practices to independently solve a variety of
problems.
Contact is typically advisory in nature and involves both the exchange of detailed/technical
information and providing advice to others on how to proceed regarding an issue or business
problem.
- Minimum 3 years of experience developing and managing marketing and promotional campaigns.
- Fluency in paid and/or organic digital marketing using multiple marketing channels such as paid search, display, and native advertising tactics.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex simultaneous marketing and promotions campaigns concurrently in a fast-paced, nimble environment.
- Experience in events promotion preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills required.
- Proven ability to meet goals and objectives while working in a collaborative, matrixed environment.
