We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Content Strategist and Writer to lead our writing practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting compelling content strategies and writing copy that drives engagement and builds brand presence across a variety of channels, including email, SMS, push notification, landing pages, blog posts, and in-app product copy and content.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Generate and test net-new value propositions and marketing language for a new product we are innovating and piloting
  • Develop and extend a meaningful brand voice and personality that is consistent across all channels yet resonant based on channel type
  • Leverage and develop messaging for new product launches, features, and promotions that align with the brand voice and appeal to the target audience
  • Define our POV and approach to a variety of content mediums and roll out effective strategies across all points in the user journeys
  • Define and extend a Product Marketing Knowledge Base: Develop and maintain a knowledge base for our product that defines how we position, communicate, and educate the product
  • Write email, SMS, Push Notification Copy: Create copy for marketing and transactional email and push notification campaigns, and SMS that increase customer engagement, retention and conversion rates
  • Assist with support resources, such as FAQs and user guides, to help customers better understand our product and its features
  • Own and iterate on the marketing website content and landing pages to effectively communicate the value of our product and its features, and motivate visitors to take action
  • Advise and craft UX writing within our app experience
  • Ensure all copy and tone is consistent with the brand voice and personality and consistently reinforce the brand's messaging and values

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of writing experience in a fast-paced industry, 2+ years writing in a Product Marketing (or similar) context
  • Experience developing content strategies using both quantitative and qualitative insights; an obsession with writing for the end user
  • Solid understanding of brand voice and an appreciation for design
  • Track record of successfully leading content efforts from strategy to execution (data-driven results)
  • Proven excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Proven solid focus on execution, proven track record of delivering results
  • Proven team player - understands the importance of building cross-functional relationships to drive successful Product Marketing initiatives
  • Proven meticulous attention to detail and care for the power of words
  • Proven creativity, collaboration and eagerness to always improve
  • Proven ability to convey complex ideas to end users simply
Preferred Qualifications
  • Undergraduate or Master’s Degree
  • 8+ years in a Content Strategy for digital products
  • Experience in Fintech or healthcare
  • Holistic understanding of end-to-end user experience design
  • Proven builder’s mindset

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
