What is a Content and Social Media Coordinator?

The Content and Social Media Coordinator role assist with developing and curating content, and executing internal and external communication initiatives for GLKF, with a primary focus on the MOVE by GoodLife Kids program and GLKF social media. This role will collaborate primarily with the Communication & Brand Senior Specialist, MOVE by GoodLife Kids team, along with other GLKF team members, and GoodLife Fitness departments as required in order to support execution of communication initiatives.

What will you be doing?

Planning and Brand Awareness

• Generating written and visual story content for website, social media, newsletters and internal communications
• Connecting with MOVE by GoodLife Kids Program Coaches, participants and partners to support content development
• Ensure proper flow and timing of information is delivered to various audiences
• Maintaining a communication calendar, in order to identify content needs

• Create written and visual content across all platforms, posting week-over-week
• Maintaining a social media calendar and activating required communications as needed
• Assists in analyzing the success of social media efforts
• Providing recommendations and implementing them to enhance brand engagement
  
  

• Organizing newsletter content from all stakeholders months in advance, when possible
• Gathering and creating both written and visual content
• Monitoring and reporting open rates, subscribers, unsubscribes and makes recommendations as needed
• Collaborating with other communication initiatives, to ensure messaging is aligned and received accordingly (both GLKF and working withGoodLife Fitness)
  
  

• Minimum 1 – 2 years in a communications role, or related field
• Passion for story telling with great attention to detail
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Experience creating with graphic design platforms
• Experienced in managing social media accounts in a professional environment
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks based on relative importance and urgency
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
• Highly developed follow-up skills
• Agile, with demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for working with individuals with disabilities, specifically autism and intellectual disabilities
