We are seeking an Outreach SEO Specialist who will work in close collaboration with the Outreach SEO Manager, SEO Director with University Performance Managers. The Outreach SEO Specialist will be responsible for supporting outreach initiatives to promote content and work alongside our marketing group leads, content publishing, and development teams to improve the creation and discoverability of rich and relevant content to industry influencers, thought leaders, news sites, students, and more.


The ideal candidate for this position will have intermediate-level knowledge of off-page SEO as well as a technical understanding of content marketing best practices that influence organic ranking. This person must also be able to connect the specifics of organic performance to search demand, ranking factors, user experience, and website conversions to support our organic roadmap. Experience and knowledge in the education/higher education industry preferred.


Responsibilities Include


  • Support outreach strategies/tasks and topic-specific content promotion to increase qualified organic traffic.
  • Collaborate closely with UX and Digital Marketing Team and other practice groups to ensure successful project work is appropriately positioned for long-term success.
  • Provide ongoing strategic oversight on organic off-page marketing best practices and tactics that align with AP goals and overall business objectives.
  • Proven track record in delivering successful and cost-effective off-page SEO and content programs that lead to successful increases in organic traffic and on-page conversions.
  • Intuitive project management and organization skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Provide detailed and analytical site performance reporting insights and on-page recommendations.
  • Monitor customer engagement and identify new ways to increase relevant search demand while increasing engagement and lead conversion.
  • Utilize strong analytical ability leveraging Google Analytics and Tableau to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
  • Define measurable acquisition-based SEO strategies for University Partners, including competitive research, technical SEO, web presence optimization, site structure, off-page strategies, measurement, and performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements Include


  • 2+ years of experience within an agency or company responsible for executing organic marketing strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in Higher Ed preferred.
  • Experience in structured data, information architecture and testing experience is a plus.
  • A combination of B2B (lead generation) B2C (e-commerce) D2C (direct to consumer digital marketing experience, ideal.
  • Experience and knowledge of SEO and how it plays into an SEM and digital media is a plus.
  • Strong demonstrated knowledge of standard and enterprise SEO tools, including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz, and Screaming Frog.
  • Beginner knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS as they related to search crawlability, and site performance.
