The Pac-12 Networks Social Media Coordinator plays a key role in the day-to-day and long-term social media efforts of the Pac-12. The right person for this role will be a driven, skilled social media omnivore with a consistent track record of curating and crafting engaging content on behalf of brands and implementing social media strategies. Experience with constructing and driving social media content plans surrounding events & games, as well as completing sponsorship campaigns, are a plus.
The Pac-12 office is based in San Ramon, CA but this position is open to fully remote employees in the states of California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah.
Responsibilities
Serve as a project coordinator passionate about select key & emerging platform(s), as defined by the director, by staying up-to-date on standard methodologies, current with the latest trends & platform updates, and serving as an anchor for content planning, strategy & execution
Curate, moderate, and create content for multiple Pac-12-owned and operated social media channels simultaneously
Spur engagement and awareness surrounding Pac-12 live games, events, and programming to drive viewership and interest
Assist social team with organizing relevant information & resources, and SOPs as well as training freelance support staff
Execute against content plans with sales and partnership social campaigns
Identify trends and opportunities for engagement relevant to the Pac-12 brand and voice, assisting with the creative process and brainstorming
Listen to fans across multiple platforms, and help the social team stay current on where the conversation is, relative to the Pac-12
Other tasks and duties as assigned by the director
Requirements
A minimum of two years of professional work experience, with at least one year in a role that included running the social voice for a team, company, or brand
Self-starter requiring little oversight while maintaining excellent attention to detail
BA or BS degree in journalism, communication, or another related field
Deep understanding of all social media platforms, primarily Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and live streaming video software and platforms.
Ability to analyze and report social analytics
Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere
Proven track record of generating content that resonates socially
Strong grammar, spelling, punctuation, and AP style
Deep knowledge of Pac-12 sports and teams
Willingness to work hours as dictated by sports and the social media news cycle, including evenings and weekend
The San Francisco Bay Area base hourly range for this full-time position is $33.44 - $36.13 and can vary if outside of this location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to work location, job-related skills and experience, education, internal parity, and relevant education or training. The range listed is just one component of Pac-12's total compensation package for employees.
