We’re seeking a values-driven Director of People to lead the growth and development of our rapidly scaling, global organization.
People is a highly strategic function at Cobalt, where you’ll collaborate with Cobalt senior leadership to uplevel the People function to a state of world class excellence across every element of the employee lifecycle for both full time employees and contractors.
You’re a People leader who focuses on data-driven execution with an inspiring balance of organized attention to detail and heart. You have a proven record of expertly managing employee relations and building People structures to bring out the best in each and every person and team across the company.
The Director of People will report to the Chief Strategy Officer.
Responsibilities and Duties What You Would Do
- Global Workforce Strategy - Define, cultivate, and improve the permanently Remote First differentiator for Cobalt employees, contractors, and the business. Lead strategic discussions regarding global expansion.
- Scale Cobalt’s Values-Driven Culture - Own and obsess over employee satisfaction and engagement. Leverage and evolve Cobalt’s values-driven culture as the company grows from 100 to 1000.
- Lead the People Function - Coach the members of the People Team to help each of them develop and progress in their individual career paths. Drive the people function to achieve world-class operational excellence in all day-to-day employee life-cycle activities, projects and programs.
You Must Have
- 10+ years HR, People Operations and/or Recruiting
- Managed people and love nurturing and growing talented people
- Experience building teams in a high growth organization
- Experience working with distributed teams in a remote first environment
- International experience in North America and Europe (Extensive US and DE experience is a plus)
- International employment law, compliance, operational (data-driven) background is a plus
