Position Summary

The Global Partner Operations Team is responsible for developing partnerships that produce mutually beneficial results for Marqeta and our strategic partner organizations. The Partner Operations team plays a vital role to deliver our vision to the market. Key to this role will be understanding the banking and network landscape, payments, and an ability to align internal stakeholders. You’ll be collaborating closely with the Marqeta extended team, including Business Development, Customer Success, Delivery, Finance, Product, Compliance, Legal, and Technology, etc.

Marqeta is looking for a BIN Management Senior Analyst who is a quick learner, can manage department workflow and proactively identify and implement opportunities that drive efficiency. We seek a leader that collaborates cross-functionally to gain alignment as we focus on continual process improvement.

Responsibilities and Duties

This role will focus on BIN Management for all of Marqeta’s programs and optimizing the support provided by Partner Operations throughout Marqeta and with our external partners. This role requires a dynamic professional that is extremely detail oriented and takes initiative to engage cross-functionally. You have an opportunity for tremendous impact as we scale the business.

Partner Operations and Process:

  • Manage, organize and track all numeric related requests with our network and issuer partners, including but not limited to data analysis, prioritization and submissions
  • Provide thought leadership on optimizing numeric usage and operations
  • Manage, combine and prioritize POM support tickets as assigned
  • Provide support for POM team members in connection with banks, networks and/or other partners (issuer/network coordination, numerics installation and configurations)
  • Manage BIN system of record to ensure consistency with partner data
  • Gather, organize and present KPI data on partners numerics
  • Update and maintain POM document repository, assist with training documentation that can be leveraged across Marqeta
  • Ability to throttle overall strategic Partner initiatives with daily issues/escalations
  • Develop and drive new/improved processes to enable POM to efficiently grow partnerships and streamline communication
  • Ensure Marqeta is staying ahead in the industry and with our competition to continue to drive revenue opportunities. This involves cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders to unlock new verticals and Marqeta specific features

Requirements

In addition to the ability to drive process improvement and collaboration with internal teams, we’re looking for the following attributes:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 4-8 years experience in payments at Issuer Processor or Payment Network
  • Understanding of network numerics is preferred
  • Foundation of integrity and strong character to consistently represent Marqeta’s values
  • Ownership/accountability for assigned tasks, an ownership mentality
  • Ability to prioritize with direction, manage and deliver on multiple projects; highly motivated and able to work against aggressive timelines
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high-quality deliverables
  • Solid communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation, written)
  • Ability to travel occasionally, less than 10%
