Background & Purpose of the Job
As the Business Development Manager (BDM) you will play a key role in driving growth opportunities, influencing sound financial decisions, and solving business issues in one of the fastest growing divisions in US CD! The purpose of this role is to serve as a critical member of the Natural Division leadership team, driving optimized processes, business rigor and value creation activities.
You will report directly to the Division Director and will work closely with Team Leads, Grocery Business Development and Regional Sales Managers to achieve our goals. This role is vital to the success of our Natural business.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do
- Drive forecast integrity/accuracy through understanding of business drivers and customer trends and insights.
- Support Division efforts and recommendations for all Go-To-Market, business planning, and business systems excellence initiatives and governance.
- Manage Division trade spend, team mix and track execution.
- Lead Division operatives such as timing of planning cycles, important deadlines for delivery, reconciliation of events etc.
- Be a steward of change/example: Evergreen
- Provide solution-based efficiencies in reporting, utilization of PowerBI
- Maximize ROI of investment activities through detailed analysis to improve sales, trade spend, product mix, efficiency, etc.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- 6+ years of Customer Development experience including proven success in an analytical role in which you added value to the organization.
- Deep understanding of the P&L, retail math, analytics, financial/strategic modeling, forecasting, etc
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Prioritization and ability to communicate complex tasks to many different stakeholders
- Problem Solving, possess solid judgment, and decision-making ability, and can deal with ambiguity.
- In depth knowledge of excel, PowerBI, SASS, IRI , Evergreen
Pay: The pay range for this position is $135,600 to $203,300 Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.Benefits: Unilever employees are eligible to participate in our benefits plan.
