As part of a highly skilled engineering team, this role is critical to envisioning the user experience and helping the team bring that experience to life. Responsibilities
You’re a perfect match if:
You are looking to be part of an insanely creative design team (not to brag – but we are)
You have designed and supported various projects in collaboration with a development team (speak their language you do)
You have a burning desire to know more about your audience, who they are, and what makes them tick (in other words, write business requirements and functional specifications)
You enjoy creating user personas, sitemaps, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs (all the fun stuff)
You like order and organization when it comes to adherence to design standards and requirements (we love a good style guide, don’t you?)
You can work with team leads and project managers to help with planning, estimation, documentation, and status reporting (we help make the projects go smoother)
You have extensive experience designing for the responsive web experience and are a CSS/HTML guru (definitely a must)
You love Apple products and would design on nothing else (I guess we’re a little bias)
You don’t mind performing any other tasks necessary for completion of project deliverables and application support (all the boring stuff … zzzzz)
You Get Bonus Points If
You have experience with branding and supporting marketing activities (we’re a growing company!)
You don’t mind doing creative work outside of web development (you know, like designing a building sign or a new logo)
You’re a pretty good writer (we love someone who is comfortable with words
We Know You Have What It Takes If
You have intermediate to advanced skill level in web UI/UX technologies and design for both web and mobile applications
You have exceptional attention to detail
You are familiar with W3C Standards and best practices
You have an intermediate to advanced skill level in Adobe Creative Suite (and are willing to learn new applications)
You have a minimum 2 years experience converting a flat design into a coded HTML documents without the use of a WYSIWIG editorYou are able to assist in identifying and troubleshooting functionality and cross-browser compatibility issues
You have a basic knowledge of JavaScript and how it will be used to enhance a user interface
You can handle confidential information and issues using discretion and judgment
Don’t mind the occasional business trip to get hands on experience
Requirements
Qualifications:
4 year degree in a design related field or equivalent work experience
Familiarity with Asana and Jira or similar ticketing system
Comfortable with written communication and documentation
Self-starter with the ability to dive in with minimal direction
Flexible and have experience working in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Familiar with design practices and comfortable designing marketing materials
Familiarity with GitHub
Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
Must be a US citizen
Must pass a background check and drug screening
