Our Product and Engineering teams are entirely remote and span 3 different time zones across the United States and Canada. We work very closely with other departments at Untappd to bring innovative technology and SaaS products to the growing beverage industry.

The Role

Untappd is looking for a talented Product Manager to help shape and lead product development for new and existing SaaS products in the beverage space. This position provides a unique opportunity to manage software products for a community of breweries, restaurants, and other enterprises around the world. The ideal candidate will also have experience analyzing, planning, shipping, and supporting product development through continuous deployment. We are looking for an individual with experience working in an Agile or Shape Up with the ability to drive stakeholder feedback, user engagement, valuable statistics reporting, and field feature ideas from stakeholders and users. 

Responsibilities
  • Gather feedback from users, support, and stakeholders for future consideration
  • Organize product roadmap and communicate upcoming changes to stakeholders
  • Set scope, lead planning and review meetings, and keep the internal team up to date with what’s being worked on and what’s been released
  • Write product-focused user stories, technical tasks, and shape worthwhile bets
  • Create sketches or diagrams to support shaping and feature development and provide greater context for the problem or solution
  • Establish and communicate schedules and rollout plans to stakeholders 
  • Communicate product readiness for new products using a team-based checklist for consistent product readiness across teams
  • Lead post-launch tracking and reporting to measure engagement, satisfaction, errors, and key results
  • Conduct internal post mortem reviews with both product and engineering teams to expose difficulties and make improvements
  • Achieve and fully own the outcomes, performance indicators, and key results set out by the business and the product to prove success of the product in market
Basic Qualifications & Experience
  • 5 years professional experience in SaaS, B2B, B2B2C, or related product ownership or product management
  • Experience presenting to stakeholders, executives, or board members, displaying expertise in a product and its users
  • Expertise with managing expectations for SaaS, B2B, or Enterprise-grade projects including technical expectations and modern software capabilities
  • Ability to present concepts, sell solutions to stakeholders, and make well-informed decisions
  • Understanding of modern software development timelines and terminology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with both internal teams and external businesses

  • Collaborate and communicate with fully remote teams and on-site teams over Slack, Zoom, and Jira
  • Communicate functionality to other teammates effectively and work collaboratively to build solutions with engineers
  • Give effective feedback that helps improve the product and receive constructive criticism with poise
  • Be willing to learn: you will be given the opportunity to work in multiple areas of the business and on new product development in a fast-paced industry!
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Understanding of the importance of accessibility, assistive devices, and Apple and Android accessibility principles
  • Experience working in a continuous deployment environment
  • Experience working within the alcoholic beverage industry or restaurant industry a plus, but not required
