Jackbox Games is looking for a Freelance Motion and Graphic Designer to join our marketing team!

• Collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualize and develop motion graphics and promotional art assets that align with the Jackbox Games brand, game themes and characters.
• Create engaging and dynamic animated videos, trailers, and gifs that effectively showcase the characters and experiences of our games.
• Design visually engaging and persuasive promotional art, including banners, social media graphics, email campaigns, and website assets.
• Ensure that all marketing materials adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including game developers, marketing managers, and copywriters, to ensure cohesive and effective communication through visual elements.
• Work with the game teams to bring scripts for the game announcement trailers to life from storyboard to animation to final video exports

• Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably with a focus on motion graphics and typography.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant tools.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your motion graphics and graphic skills, with a keen eye for composition, color theory, typography, and visual storytelling.
• Experience creating engaging and visually appealing animated videos, trailers, and gifs.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and their respective design requirements for promotional materials.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for gaming and a solid understanding of game industry trends, player demographics, and marketing strategies.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience. New grads need not apply.
• A strong ability to prioritize varied workloads with long and short-term deadlines
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative suite
• Experience with producing and editing video content (bonus: experience making trailers or commercial content)
• Illustration skills are a plus but not required.
• A great eye for color and composition
• The ability to take creative guidelines and character art from the games and mimic or replicate it in marketing content
• A team player mindset. Our marketing department intersects with almost every other department in our company and you will need to be able to work effectively both on your own and as part of a larger group.
• A roll-up-your-sleeves mentality. We have a very entrepreneurial, get-it-done culture that takes pride in our strong work ethic and low tolerance for micromanaging or posturing.
