Profile: We are looking for a business development rep based in Ontario for our client who sells graphite and carbon products to industrial manufacturers. We are looking for someone who has sold industrial raw materials which could include chemicals to manufacturers in Canada. We sell to a variety of industries such as automotive, surface preparation, plastics, cast metallurgy, oil and gas, energy and electronics etc.
Territory: Ontario and Western Canada
Workplace: Work from home (based in Ontario)
Products/Services: Carbon-based products (raw materials for manufacturers)
Salary: Base $90,000-$100,000
Commissions/Bonus: 20% on base + profit sharing
Car allowance: Company car + car expenses paid+ gas card
Expense’s reimbursement: All reasonable expenses repaid

Functions
- Research and identify target applications
- Identify and develop relationships with key stakeholders in customer base
- Keep CRM up to date with projects
- Visit clients and prospects on a regular basis
- Build proposals and submit to interested parties
- Develop strong solution-selling opportunities
- Engage with a cross-functional team of people internally to ensure we sell the right solutions
Requirements
Development vs Maintenance: 25% vs 75%
Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%
Languages: English (written and spoken)
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering preferably in material science, chemistry, physics or earth science or equivalent experience
Training: On the job training provided
Overnight Travel: Up to 50% travel across Ontario and Western Canada
Years of experience: At least 3 years in a similar field
Other requirements: Experience selling carbon-based materials to manufacturers and industrial clients or experience selling industrial raw materials.

Transferable Knowledge
Knowledge of Carbons, Graphite, High Temperature minerals, Abrasives; Shot & Grit is an asset
